European increases, US increases, JAMA report, the President
Europe is seeing increases in both cases and deaths. As a result, they are starting a new wave of shutdowns in some areas like cafes in Paris.
Only 3 states in the US are on the decline (Texas, Missouri, and South Carolina) and case counts over the weekend hit 50K - which is the highest we have seen in a while.
A report came out in JAMA (not a research study but a report) that said that your risk of contracting COVID on a plane is lower than from your office based on airflow - but not necessarily based on interactions with other people - i.e. proximity to others.
The President remains hospitalized with COVID and is undergoing treatment.
NOTE: News has slowed down significantly which is great and indicates that we have learned a great deal about the virus. As a result, I will drop down my posts to three days a week. If something big happens I will post about it - otherwise, starting this week I will only post on M,W,F.
