Welcome to COVID-19 and Public Health Updates. I began by posting COVID-19 updates on FB to help my family and friends understand the outbreak and have quality information they could trust. Eventually, I moved from FB to here. I am in Public Health and Epidemiology and actively worked on the pandemic both in the US and overseas. I grew tired and frustrated just like most of you, but as an epidemiologist working on the most significant pandemic of our lifetime, I was happy to share that with anyone who cared to join me.
Over time, I began to share other "hot" public health topics as they arose. Primarily as they relate to infectious diseases but not exclusively. I share unbiased, non-political information based on research, science, and what I am seeing/hearing. I will also share tips and suggestions for risk mitigation and try to write each update the way I would for my family and friends.
